Join us at Spirit Horse Ranch Maui and be part of a team dedicated to making a positive impact through the power of horse. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about horses, nature, and community service. Our ranch provides therapeutic riding and equine-assisted activities for individuals helping them gain mental health, physical, emotional, and social benefits.
Responsibilities:
Horse Care: Assist with grooming and general care of the horses.
Facility Maintenance: Help with cleaning EAL areas, maintaining the arena, and other ranch upkeep tasks.
Program Assistance: Support Equine Assisted Service therapy sessions by leading horses, haltering or side-walking.
Event Support: Participate in special events or workshops hosted by the ranch.
Administrative Tasks: Occasionally assist with office work, such as scheduling or record-keeping.
Requirements:
Commitment: Able to commit to volunteering one day a week for at least one month.
Physical Fitness: Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and handling horses.
Team Player: Willing to work collaboratively with staff, other volunteers, and participants.
Positive Attitude: Enthusiastic, patient, and supportive demeanor.
Experience: Prior experience with horses is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
