Ranch Horse Rescue

Chewy is our lead gelding a wise soul who has seen and done it all, in his youth he was a cutting & all around cowboy and trail horse. All the horses look up to him. He teaches the new horses the ropes too! He loves breakfast and dinner time the best! He is respected by us all.

Shadow Boy was born at the ranch too and he is the one of the original cowboy trail horses! Shadow loves to play and joke around. But he is also a huge romantic! He loves with his whole heart! His besties are Charlie, Spirit and Chewy! He loves to hear how wonderful and kind he is too!

Charlie our cinnamon boy because he smells like cinnamon! He came to us three years ago after a hard life he lost faith in humans and we have seen him open is heart to us with such love and kindness. Charlie loves to run and play in the rain and smell flowers.

Sugar Bear she is the most loyal loving mare. She had an injury to her mouth when she was young making it hard for her to be a performance horse so we brought her to the ranch and she has been so grateful ever since she is Maverick’s girl and stays by his side faithfully! She is so excited to work with you she is the kind soul you have been waiting for!

Royal our sweet delicate flower, she was a race horse retired at 3 she did not like the world of Polo either but she loves being at the ranch where she is loved and cuddled she loves to trail ride and be brushed she is very tall but her sweet heart is so gentle, she is very curios about everything! She likes a gentle hand and sweet talking very much! Oh and of course cookies!

Angel Bear is hands down the sweetest of the bunch she is also very curios and will investigate everything ( especially on the trail) she loves to dress up and play she has so much patience. She likes to be hugged too and will hug you right back! She and Banker are buddies but she loves her mare time, and will hang out with her bestie Royale for girl time! She can’t wait to meet you for hugs!

Coconut!! Small and sassy she is a Hawaiian pony. A very unique horse she came to us like Charlie very untrusting of people. We quickly found her sweet spot though she loves scratches all over! She will warm up very quickly and her favorite time is snuggles from children! A few cookies too as she loves to eat!

Our girl Beauty is a long legged thoroughbred, she is the lead mare schooling the herd with her gentle heart. She is lead because she has the wisdom and kindness they all respect. She loves being brushed and sweet smelling oils and shampoos and whispering to her how amazing she is! Because she is!

Banker is a Missouri Fox Trotter and could ride all day if you let him he loves to work! He is small 14 hands but has the loudest whiny! He is the perfect size for hugs and will stand all day hugging for you! He and Angel are tight! They flew over from Arizona together and are inseparable! He is a big love bug!

Miss Missy she loves to be loved oh boy she would cuddle all day if you let her! Tall and lanky she will tuck you into her like a teddy bear! Brush her all day this mare loves to be pampered and will reciprocate too! She loves to give kisses and her favorites treat is Ms Pasternacks horse cookies!

Maverick came to us after years alone and happily stepped into his new ohana with joy, his girl is Sugar and they are inseparable! Mav loves to trail ride he is is a Tennessee Walker his patience is re-known. He will be there when you need him for a hug! He loves Carrots best!

Zip is a big boy too he is solid and loving. He will let you know he is ready for cuddles and will be there for you any time of the day he is our giant teddy bear! He also loves scratches and coooooookies! More please! More love more cookies he just cannot get enough love this boy!

Rocky is a lovable Bavarian Warmblood who was retired early from his hunter-jumper career. With the heart of a gentle giant, Rocky is often described as a big puppy dog—always ready for a hug and eager to be by your side. His warm, kind nature makes him an ideal therapy horse at Spirit Horse Ranch, where he loves following people around and brightening their day with his friendly presence.

Star came to us after surviving years of hardship and neglect. She was taken in and healed and then donated to us for long term care. When she arrived, she was t astill under-weight and emotionally exhausted, but with care, love, and time, she began to heal. Once a roping horse, Star now spends her days offering quiet wisdom and comfort to those who need it most. Her gentle spirit and deep intuition make her one of our most connected partners in healing. Though she has some minor health challenges, Star is thriving in her forever home surrounded by aloha, care, and respect. Her favorite thing is snuggling up close and of course carrots!

Toa isn’t an official rescue, but a beloved ranch partner who shares his big heart between rides and equine-assisted learning sessions. As one of our new youth program horses, Toa brings calm strength and nurturing energy to every interaction. A gentle giant and total teddy bear, he adores scratches, attention, and spending time with youth during his days.  Though his exact breed is a mystery, his loving spirit and intuitive presence make him one of our most trusted partners. At 15 years old, Toa continues to bring joy, connection, and laughter to everyone he meets. His favorite treat? Bananas, always.
