Current project timeline

Since we opened our barn doors early in 2023 with a 6 week a pilot program for healing trauma working with Maui Youth and Family Services then widening our reach to help the Maui wildfire survivors we have provided over 533 Equine Assisted Therapy sessions as of Dec 31st 2023 . To date 745 sessions for our MAUI community to heal and rebuild thier resilience. We have been working with limited resources and are in need of more infrastructure. Since August we have worked with referrals from Hawaii Cares, Red Cross , 1 st responders, Hale Pono Shelter, Elementary and High School Counselors, Maui Counseling and Hawaii Behavioral Health. The word spread fast and our community has embraced the oppertunty to heal.

We have the vision, the commitment, now it’s time for action. We have set up two primary EAS areas but we need so much more to provide a full program and are currently working on getting everything in place to start construction.

Blog Post Title One

Phase 1: Program Development in 2022-2023

We have established a fiduciary partnership with Players Philanthropy Fund and have built our leadership team including Board, Advisory Board, legal counsel and marketing team.

We have accomplished a lot so far!

• Completed Certifications of EAL and Natural Lifemanship Practitioners (finalized 8/2022)

• Completed Two Round Pen workspaces EAS and mindfulness

• **** We currently need funding to build shelter/ shaded areas for the children’s equine assisted learning program

• We need funding for arena to provide additional EAS workspaces for activities

• We currently need to fund for the deposits to hire professional, and architect and his team to move forward with the County and State process for completing our full build out planned for 2024

Phase 2: Pre-Construction

  • Finalize design with architect

  • Meet with Maui County Panning with plans for Ag Buildings (barn, stables, riding arena) 8/2023

Blog Post Title Three

Phase 3: Construction AG Barn begins Fall 2023

  • We are aiming to begin building a barn, stable areas, and a workspace arena by Fall 2023 - March 2024

Phase 4: Construction finalized March 2024!

Final build out barn, more round pens, riding arena, horse stables, art and HeartMath classroom, gardening enclosures, road, parking, solar systems

Future plans include:

• EAL, Heartmath and Art classroom, hydroponic gardening enclosure and solar system

Your contribution provides funds to start construction, pay for architects, legal consultants, pay our staff, feed and keep the horses healthy and develop our programs benefiting Maui’s children in the years to come.

How you can help our mission

Private Donations

We need your support to allow us to help children with basic EAS.  Donations are used for:

  • Horse care 

  • Legal, consultants, architect, and surveyor 

  • Basic staff & Ongoing education supplemental certifications

  • Deposits & Insurance

  • A paved road to the facility

  • Sponsor a participant’s therapy

In-Kind Donations

We are in need of supplies and materials to outfit our programs, such as:

  • Saddles for therapy horses

  • Feed for horses

  • Bench for reflection

  • Art supplies

  • Gardening supplies

All donations are 100% tax-deductible as allowed by law. For corporate donations, please submit our donations form, or contact us for alternate forms of payment. We rely on and are immensely grateful for your support.
